We realize there are far more incidents between motorists/bicyclists and motorists/pedestrians than are reported, resulting in incomplete data. Often times the incident occurs from the motorist not understanding the legal rights of bicyclists and pedestrians. Other times it is from lack of infrastructure, i.e., sidewalks, bike lanes, etc. When incidents are not reported, it is impossible for data to be gathered and impact changes, such as improved infrastructure or increased education.
By reporting incidents on this website, we can compile incident data by community, by road, or by intersection. This will help efforts that improve bicycling and walking through engineering, policy, education, or enforcement.
For this to be successful, please spread the word for everyone to report any incident that involves a motorist and bicyclist or pedestrian. No personal data will be shared.
This is not an alternative to reporting to the police. If you feel that your incident requires police involvement, you should contact police immediately. If you have been injured, seek medical attention and consider contacting an attorney.
Note: Your name and contact info will not be shared unless you explicitly give your permission.
